I Hear Music…
There was always music in our home growing up. In fact my parents met playing in a Trad Jazz band in Liverpool, England 1956. My father played trombone and my mother piano.
From an early age I heard jazz, folk, classical, and rock music coming from our stereo and my little transistor radio. My earliest musical memory is of me, around the age of four, visiting some close family friends singing The Beatles “She Loves You”.
At age six it was piano lessons, and at ten it was guitar. I started writing songs when I was fourteen and the love I had of music changed from just listening to creating. Even though I refer to my music as Pop/Rock, I feel the songs are very much influenced by all the different styles I heard along the way.
